Lee and I met yesterday for a healthy lunch at Waggamammas { this means Naughty Child} and discussed a number of points, stress being one of them.
Lee commented "Stress has been linked to heart disease, high blood pressure, accelerated aging
and type 2 Diabetes. Many people cope with stress by binging on junk food or
other acid forming addictive habits."
He continued and suggested "A healthy alternative to decrease the effects of stress is to make sure you
get enough sleep, lower your fat intake, increase your consumption of antioxidant rich fruits and
veggies, especially greens, surround yourself with supportive positive people and exercise regularly."
For 30 years I have played sport to a good amateur level & several years ago frustrated with the gym I took up racket ball which is easy to learn great fun & really gives you a good CV work out.
My humble advice is find something that you enjoy doing to start with!! jNo excuses... just move & breathe on a daily basis, walking the dog, dancing, rebounding on a mini trampoline can all be a good start before contemplating the gym and more rigourous work outs. Remember sometimes the simplest and most fun solution is the most sustainable.
No excuses now, just do it, if not now then when.?
Live with passion & enjoy the moment.
